Yesterday was Eli's first birthday
We celebrated at our house with a few family and friends
I had so much fun decorating
I might do a little how to post on the fabric star banner
I was so easy to make
You can see here Eli is not his real name :)
Michael had been sick all week so we thought we might have to cancel
Luckily on Saturday he was finally starting to feel better so we went ahead as planed
It was one of the most high stress weeks around here
But I am glad we were still able to pull it together
The Birthday boy could have cared less though
The second guest started to arrive
He passed out in his highchair
And sleep through the first half of his party
I was so excited for him to have his first piece of cake
I had visions of him digging in and smooching it all over his face
But he was not a fan
I dipped his finger in the frosting
Hoping the sweetness would change his mind
But the just picked up the cupcake and through it on the floor
Oh well
He had strawberries instead

On this day last year I had no idea my little boy was being born
It would be a few more days before we met
But I am ever so thankful he is here
And we shared the last year as a family
I can't wait to see whats in store for him
